Channel 4's Restoration Man is set to return for a second series and is currently on the lookout for owners of unusual historic building restoration projects to take part.
Presented by architect George Clarke, Restoration Man follows owners as they restore, convert and breathe new life into vulnerable historic buildings across the UK. As well as offering practical advice, the programme explores the history of each building, why it was built and how it has evolved over the years within the local community. The first series, screened earlier this year, featured a number of interesting properties including a Victorian ice house in Scotland and a Grade II* listed folly in Lancashire.
For the second series the production company Tiger Aspect is looking for unusual historic buildings (such as water towers, former military buildings, follies, former public toilets, lighthouses, stables, dovecotes etc etc). Buildings don't have to be listed to be considered for the programme. It is essential that owners have full planning permission for the work and finance in place. Filming will begin later this year.
If you know of a project that meets these criteria, contact Melissa Mayne at Tiger Aspect on 020 7529 9447 or email melissamayne@tigeraspect.co.uk
