The Heritage at Risk Register helps us to identify the most threatened buildings, archeological sites and landscapes in this most distinctive of English Regions. Heritage at Risk 2010 Yorkshire and Humber accompanies the regional Heritage at Risk Register for Yorkshire and Humber which can be accessed on English Heritage website.
The report examines the state of each of the asset types. This report is published at a time when the public, private and voluntary sectors all face very difficult choices about how to fulfil their responsibilities with reduced resources.
The report demonstrates how Heritage at Risk is an extremely effective way of identifying the most threatened sites, and allowing effort to be focused where it is most needed. This information is collected from a range of sources, is publicly available and widely shared with all those who have an interest in finding solutions. It helps to create partnerships - which in turn greatly increase the chance of finding sustainable long-term solutions.
